The countdown to Super Bowl LXI has already sparked one big question. Who will headline the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show? The NFL has not announced its performer yet, but that has not stopped fans, betting markets, and music insiders from making predictions.

Early odds already point to a handful of major stars, with Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber sitting at the top of the list. Several other chart-topping artists are also in the mix, making this one of the most talked-about entertainment stories leading into 2027.

The halftime show has become much more than a football tradition. It is one of the biggest live performances in the world, attracting well over 100 million viewers every year. Landing the headline spot can define an artist's legacy and introduce their music to an even larger audience.

Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber Lead the Early Race

Bieber / IG / According to Kalshi, Justin Bieber holds a slight advantage with an estimated 33% chance of headlining the show.

Miley Cyrus is right behind with a projected 31% chance. Other prediction platforms, including Polymarket, also rank Cyrus among the strongest contenders, giving her implied odds of around 28.5%.

Traditional sportsbooks paint a slightly different picture. FanDuel lists Miley Cyrus as the betting favorite at +310. Cardi B follows at +440, while Taylor Swift sits close behind at +490. Those odds show that sportsbooks still see several realistic candidates rather than one overwhelming favorite.

Miley Cyrus checks many of the boxes the NFL typically looks for. She has decades of hit songs, broad appeal across age groups, and experience performing on huge stages. Her music spans pop, rock, country, and even classic covers, giving producers plenty of creative options for a memorable halftime show.

Justin Bieber also remains an attractive choice. The icon’s catalog includes global hits spanning more than 15 years. His recent career momentum, helped by a widely praised Coachella appearance and renewed public interest, has placed him firmly back in the spotlight.

Several Big Names Still Have a Real Shot

Lil Wayne is listed around +520, keeping hopes alive for fans who felt he deserved stronger consideration in previous years. A performance in California could also create opportunities for surprise guest appearances from some of hip hop's biggest names.

A$AP Rocky follows at roughly +610 after maintaining a strong public profile through music, fashion, and business ventures. Drake and J. Cole are also attracting attention with odds around +880. Both artists have enough chart success to carry a halftime show, although scheduling and ongoing industry relationships could affect their chances.

Taylor Swift continues to generate discussion despite not leading the betting board. The pop queen’s worldwide popularity makes her an obvious candidate whenever the halftime show conversation begins. Many analysts believe she remains one of the safest choices from a ratings perspective.

Harry Styles and Ariana Grande also remain serious possibilities. Both artists have massive international fan bases and enough hit songs to fill the short performance with familiar music. Their polished stage presence also fits the NFL's growing focus on visually impressive productions.

Morgan Wallen appears farther down the list at +1120, but his inclusion is still notable. A country headliner would bring a different feel to the halftime show and could attract another large audience segment. Although recent shows have leaned toward pop and hip hop, country music continues to grow in popularity across the United States.

Expert Predictions and Miley Cyrus' Response

Swift / IG / A Covers betting analyst highlighted Taylor Swift as a serious contender while calling Justin Bieber “a longshot worth watching” because of his recent comeback.

Other experts continue mentioning Drake, Pharrell Williams, Metallica, and Radiohead during prediction discussions. Those names remain far more speculative, but they show how wide the conversation has become.

Miley Cyrus has also addressed the growing rumors. The “We Can’t Stop You” hitmaker, 33, admitted that performing during the Super Bowl Halftime Show would be “an incredible opportunity.”

Super Bowl LXI will take place on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Los Angeles has become known for celebrity appearances and surprise collaborations, making guest performers almost as exciting as the headline act itself.
